Marcel Luske, the Flying Dutchman, has won a remarkable 32 tournaments in his 16-year career on the live tournament circuit. Even more impressive? Luske would win 6 of the first 8 tournaments he would earn results in, including winning a trio of tournaments in a 30-day span in 2001.
Luske’s impressive 6/8 streak, which saw him collect victories in all of his first four cashes on tour, would culminate in a Seven-Card Stud tournament victory at the Vienna Spring Festival in Austria.
It’s on this day in 2001, however, that Luske’s 6 for 8 streak would be snapped, finishing 7th in the 1K NLH event at the Vienna Fest, one day after winning #6.
