Daily 3-Bet: Super Tsoukernik, Juega Bien, Jake Cody is OK

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a nice Peruvian pour-over, a trusty IBM Selectric and a last-minute push to wrap your afternoon poker news masterpiece.

Got a tip for a future 3-Bet? Tell us where to go find it in the comments below.

Today in the 3-Bet we find another seat filled for the $300k Super High Roller Bowl, Leo Margets gets published and Jake Cody goes South.

1) Tsoukernik in SHRB?

King’s Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik surprised a few people when he won the EPT Prague €50k Super High Roller last December – against young British superstar Charlie Carrel heads-up, no less.

Ready to rumble.

It earned him an impressive €741,100 but, more than money, he told us after his win, it sent a message to the “so-called” pros out there that they shouldn’t take amateur players lightly.

But does Tsoukernik have what it takes to defeat 49 other elite players in the $300,000 Aria Super High Roller Bowl this summer?

He seems to think so, as he’s reportedly one of the 15 invited non-professionals who will take part. A website post from King’s Casino seemed to confirm it this morning, although the tweet announcing it disappeared.

It’s a pretty safe bet he’s in though as his wild style is fun to watch and his table banter is first-rate.

With one more seat locked up (and Negreanu and Hellmuth likely invites, too), that leaves just 12 open spots as of today. See the full list of players in so far here.

2) Leo Margets In Print!

As a regular at the Battle of Malta we love Leo Margets as both a player as a person and we’re pretty sure you will too when you read her new book:

Y por fin ahora que lo tengo en las manos puedo deciros que el jueves 16/02 sale a la venta #juegabientuscartas! En librerías + ebook! pic.twitter.com/Rxxrdslcfz

— Leo Margets (@LeoMargets) February 9, 2017

Our grade school Spanish tells us the book is called “Play Your Cards Well (in Life and Business)” and we assume it’s filled with thought-provoking insights on life and poker from one of the nicest people we’ve ever met.

Knowing her, though, it’s also quite possible it’s 60% life/poker advice and 40% cat pictures. Either way it’s a win, in our humble opinions. Buy it for a Spanish friend, pronto!

3) Jake Cody is OK. We Think.

He is, right? That’s what we got out of this nice Vlog of Cody’s trip to the Bahamas, anyway. Let us know if you interpret it otherwise:
