Daily 3-Bet: Tito Go Bragh, Grudge 4 Charity, Molly Post-Pro

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a corner booth, a snifter of Dair Ghaelach and a quiet head nod to the barkeep in honor of afternoon poker news Paddy’s Day.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Tito Ortiz throwing haymakers at PSC Panama, a grudge match gets generous and Molly’s Game goes to post-production.

1) Tito Go Bragh, Brah

What a treat for St. Patrick’s Day to see one Tito Ortiz – aka former UFC heavyweight Tito Ortiz – on the live stream feature table from the PokerStars Championship Panama today.

Even better? He’s worked his stack up to over 130 BBs and is in the St. Paddy’s spirit with some playful eyewear.

Watch him drop some sweet (poker) science on the live stream below!

2) Hall for Journalists, Dentale for Medicine

A nice addition to the Cate Hall vs. Mike Dentale Grudge Match on Sunday? The two combatants have each selected a charity to help raise money for.

cate hall vs mike dentale

Aka medicine v. journalists.

According to a new article on Yahoo! Finance, Dentale will play for Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) while Hall will go play for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

The charities will be “prominently featured” during the stream and viewers will be asked to donate in real-time. Both charities will also be featured on the Poker Night in America broadcast later this year.

Watch the full live stream from the SugarHouse Casino starting at 3pm ET Sunday on the PNIA Twitch channel.

if you’re in the area, the match is open to spectators (over 21), too. The stage will be set up across from the SugarHouse Casino Market Place. More info on the feud that started it all here.

Streaming will be on all weekend from the SugarHouse, actually, starting with an intriguing $25/$50 cash game already underway featuring Phil Hellmuth, Olivier Busquet, Doug Polk and Shaun Deeb. Watch it all below:

3) Molly’s Game in Post-Production

According to IMDB, the Aaron Sorkin-helmed Molly’s Game, the movie about former ski race-turned-high-stakes-poker hostess Molly Bloom’s famed Hollywood home games, has reached the “post-production” stage.

Molly Bloom.

From our extensive understanding of cinematic industry parlance, we think that means all of the basic shooting has been done and Sorkin (and his editors) are now in the editing room trying to turn it into a taught, fast-moving gem from beginning to end.

All power to them. While the story definitely has some intriguing twists, we don’t exactly have our hopes set for another poker classic like Rounders.

The impressive cast, though, including Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera (as a poker player!) and Chris O’Dowd gives us hope for a reasonable winner.

We shall see soon. Check the full cast line-up here.
