Encouraging 1st week for the Irish

I got off to a bit of a flyer in my 1st event the $1k PLO. I built a nice stack and entered Day 2 2nd in chips. I was right in the mix until the final 2 tables before going short. Alas I was to finish in 12th spot which equalled my 12th from last year in ┬ábracelet event. Was really hoping to make another WSOP Final Table, there’s no buzz in Poker than being down to the final few playing for a Bracelet. It’s early Doors so hoping I can make another run this Summer.

Next up is the $1500 Limit Hi Lo which is one of my favourite events so looking forward to that. Going to take a little break after that as the bigger events are coming up ( 2 $3k Hi Lo’s, $5k 6 max PLO, $10k PLO and The Main and a few smaller PLO’s) and really want to go into these feeling fresh. Played loads of poker over the last Month or so, so I want to avoid burn out. Few days by the pool and bit of mountain biking be grand.

Some other good results for the Irish particularly in the Millionaire Maker with the Goat, Multi and Dickie Davis all making money runs. The Goat went very deep and would of FTed bar a serious run of bad luck finally getting it in with QQ v 1010 to see a 10104 flop. Still a nice $50k scoop has him off to a good start.

Seems like there’s a big one brewing for the Irish and with the big guns like Gavinator, Dermot Blaine, Rees, Od, Big Mick G and Jude en route you can but be optimistic for an Irish bracelet.
