Kevin Martin Headed Back to Big Brother Canada for Season 5

Kevin Martin fans are going to have survive without his popular Twitch stream for awhile because the Team PokerStars Online pro headed back to Big Brother in Canada.

Martin will star on Season 5 of the program, which debuts on March 15.

A huge fan of Big Brother, Martin actually competed in season three of the BBC. He lasted 49 days before finally falling out of contention a couple weeks before the finale.

Martin: I’m Going to Miss Playing Poker

One of the most popular poker streamers on Twitch, Martin has built a large audience on the platform but they are going to have to deal without him for the span of the show.

“I can’t wait to get stuck into life in the Big Brother Canada house. I love talking to people but it’s also a fascinating, strategic game,” said Martin.

“I’m really going to miss my regular Twitch fans and playing poker, but I’ll approach the experience in a similar way to a poker tournament and hopefully my skills will come in handy.”

Martin may have an edge this time around considering how much volume he’s put in on PokerStars.

Of course he will still be chasing his single biggest score in the competition as BBC5 will pay out $100,000 to the eventual winner.

Martin is hardly the only famous poker pro to compete in reality TV.

Vanessa Rousso famously finished third in the flagship Big Brother program in the USA and many had her pegged to go all the way.

Jean-Robert Bellande, Anna Khait, Garrett Adelstein and Jim Rice have all competed on CBS’ Survivor.
